“writer’s block”
a writer’s
block
can be made up
of many things.
a broken pencil
or uncomfortable chair.
an ever-ringing telephone
or guilt-ridden affair.
a mean-streak of critiques
or long day of work.
an empty tank of inspiration
or a fuse that just won’t spark.
and the writer finds herself
with her back against
the block,
banging her head against
its very own
creation.
